Week of March 6-13

• When Sarah is not helping with Megan and Matthew, she likes playing with her baby doll.  One morning this week, Sarah was getting her baby ready for the day while I was getting Megan ready.  While she was getting her ready, Sarah was doing a running commentary of what was going on.  Most of it involved things that the baby's pulmonologist said such as which solids she could eat and what vitamins she needed to take.  It was really funny to hear Sarah keep talking about the pulmonologist over and over again.  Not a word most kids her age have heard of!
• Matthew woke U up for work one morning.  U uses his IPod alarm.  He'd turned the volume off one day and so didn't hear it go off .  Matthew, being concerned that his dad get to work (or wanting to eat), woke U up so that he could get to work on time.  What a considerate kid:)
• Before I turn the car on, I do a seat belt check.  Generally this involves me saying "Seat belt check.  Front seat? Check! Middle seat?" and Sarah saying "Check! Check!" for Megan and Matthew and then me saying "Back seat?" and Sarah saying "Check!"  One morning this week, when I said "Middle seat?", Megan answered.  Very smart kid, letting us know she had on her seat belt.  (She's done this a few other times as well.)
• Sarah had a great week at school.  Wednesday was "hall" day and so everyone in her hall wore red shirts.  It was also the Toy Store where she was able to buy some toys with the Indy Bucks she'd earned over the quarter for good behavior and participation.  It always amazes us how much she comes home with from Toy Store.  Thursday she had a half day due to "Student Led Conferences."  She had lunch with daddy at work and then took him to school to show him all the stuff she's been doing lately.  Friday was "Free Dress Day" meaning that she could wear whatever clothes she wanted.  Now she's off school for a couple weeks for Spring Break.  We are looking forward to having her at home with us!
• Megan continues moving in her crib a lot.  Positions we have found her in include on her back and on her tummy the direction we place her in her crib, on her back and on her tummy sideways and on her back and on her tummy upside down.  (Upside down means the opposite direction that we place her in her crib and yes, it does make a difference because we have the head of the crib elevated.  I guess she wants extra blood in her head!)
• U is sick.  He started sounding hoarse last Tuesday, stayed home from work and rested all day on Wednesday and has been feeling congested and coughing a bunch since then.  Today he felt quite bad and slept most of the day.  This is really unusual for him to be so sick for so long--generally when he doesn't feel well, he comes home from work early and sleeps for the rest of the day.  By morning, he is good as new.  Here's to hoping that he'll feel better soon!

Sarah doing a photo shoot with Megan.  Sarah put the flower in Megan's hair and then took a number of pictures.  She showed me the second picture and said, "Megan looks mad."  I agree!
