Here's a sampling of some of the awesome things our kids have said recently.
Megan to Me about mom and dad's 20 year anniversary: I can't believe you were 12 when you got married!
When asked about what she thought about a frog dissection we watched, Megan replied, "Gross but worth it!"
Some quotes from recent tech training we've been doing with the kids:
While talking about harmful things we may see online:
Mom: Hurts on the inside are hard to see.
Matthew: That's why you need an x-ray.
We had a pile of items whose purposes can all be met with smart devices. Dictionaries, cameras, calculators, etc.
Sarah pointed at the pile and said, "Those are all old people stuff and this (device) is new people stuff."
Sarah's thoughts about a phone book: "What is that? That's creepy! It has all your information."
Sarah: Joker is the most attractive villain. Not the one from 19-something.
Matthew: Dad, did you know you are going bald?
Dad: Did you just realize this?
Matthew: Yes?
Megan and Matthew: We want a slip and slide.
Mom: We have a slip and slide.
Megan: I hate the slip and slide.
Megan: We’ve been exercising all morning.
Matthew: But we really aren’t using our fingers very much. We need to play Terraria.
Mom: Friends don't let friends fight the wall of flesh. (Note: this is something in the game Terraria that Megan and Matthew love playing together. But it sounds wrong.)
Sarah: BUUUUUUUUURRRRRRRRPPPP! That was a good one!
Dad: I think someone swapped her brain for a teenage boy's.
Mom to kids: Good night, good work...
Megan: I'll most likely let you watch TV in the morning.
(Can you name that movie???)
