January 2025

 January went by quickly.

We had lunch with our Anasazi parent group: Anna, Jaime, Sean, Colleen, Dale, Stephanie, U, Me, Leissa

We did a lot of puzzles! Here are some of them.

Artemis

Matthew continues to find interesting reading positions.

Matthew and Megan before their first dance.

We painted a wall in the eating area. The ladder is apparently a good place to read!

Italy Yum Box. One of our favorites overall.

Megan, Matthew, Me and U while doing our Belgium Yum Box.

Belgium was also well liked although they left out some key foods so we supplemented. Waffles?!? Speculoos?!? Not including frites can be forgiven since those would not ship well...

Megan, U and Me in our fort.

Matthew in his fort. He slept in it for about a week.

We visited the zoo.
Pacing Amur leopard. We also saw one of the lion cubs, which was right next door.

We wanted to join the orangutans in their napping.

Burrowing owls

Matthew and U did a Bob Ross painting activity at YMs one evening.

Bogle hosted their first robotics tournament! It was very well done and much more relaxed than most meets as there were only 20 teams. U helped with resetting the fields and so got some good pictures.
Matthew and some teammates before a match.

Megan and Maggie. Maggie helps mentor the robotics kids.

Milo and Megan with their robot.

Megan, Diego and Matthew with their robot in the pits (aka the cafeteria).

Me's view of the tournament.

Matthew helped sort and label bins of food at AZCEND over the winter break. We keep finding his labeled bins.

Megan and Matthew playing Sriricha. Megan still dominates although Matthew had improved his skills!

April Happenings

 Life continues to march on.

We watched General Conference the first weekend in April
Artemis enjoyed her conference treats.

Matthew in his conference tent. It was a bit warm.

Megan's calligraphy

April brought a lot of track meets for Megan. She participated in the long jump. Here are a couple photos from her first meet.

Matthew and a friend (Adam), booby trapped U's office one day.
U showing off the spider that fell on his head.

Reverse water gun (it squirts the person shooting it unless they know to switch the valve. Which U knew....Thanks Crunch Labs!)

Mystery puzzle (actual puzzle is a few minutes later than the picture given with the puzzle)

The YM/YW had a tri-ward dance.

Very busy day at AZCEND!!!

Jump Megan!

Juvenile great horned owl. Its mom kept watch over it until it was able to fly away.

Matthew and the jazz band at the state jazz band festival. They placed 1st in middle school/junior high and were told by multiple judges that they were the best jazz band they heard over the whole festival.

The entire jazz band. They do sound amazing!

Matthew participated in trombone day at the local community college. 25 trombones played a piece together. It sounded really cool.

Closer shot of Matthew at trombone day.

We did face masks.

Go Megan!

Matthew participated in stake YM basketball.

U and Me went to dinner with Sarah and Champion. It was nice to visit with them. Me also took a couple trips down the see Sarah.

Me, U, Matthew, Artemis and Megan enjoying dinner at the park. Enjoying the nice weather while we can!

Megan quote to mom and dad: You know more about chicken stock and stocks in general. And socks.
