April Happenings

 Life continues to march on.

We watched General Conference the first weekend in April
Artemis enjoyed her conference treats.

April brought a lot of track meets for Megan. She participated in the long jump. Here are a couple photos from her first meet.

Matthew and a friend (Adam), booby trapped U's office one day.

Reverse water gun (it squirts the person shooting it unless they know to switch the valve. Which U knew....Thanks Crunch Labs!)

Mystery puzzle (actual puzzle is a few minutes later than the picture given with the puzzle)

The YM/YW had a tri-ward dance.

Very busy day at AZCEND!!!

Jump Megan!

Juvenile great horned owl. Its mom kept watch over it until it was able to fly away.

Matthew and the jazz band at the state jazz band festival. They placed 1st in middle school/junior high and were told by multiple judges that they were the best jazz band they heard over the whole festival.

The entire jazz band. They do sound amazing!

Matthew participated in trombone day at the local community college. 25 trombones played a piece together. It sounded really cool.

Closer shot of Matthew at trombone day.

We did face masks.

Grandma A's 70th birthday

Grandma A celebrated her 70th birthday so Me and Cheryl-Lynn went to her house for the day. Me flew to Vegas after Stake Conference on Sunday.

Nice view of Hoover Dam and the bridge while flying into Las Vegas.

The flight route. It was an interesting flight path over most of Lake Mead.

Cheryl-Lynn picked Me up at the airport and we drove straight to Cedar City. It was a bit late when we arrived so we visited for a few minutes and then headed to bed. Monday, we had a pretty lazy morning, visiting, working on a puzzle and eating breakfast. It was cold outside (it was snowing!) so we kept indoors. After a lunch of crepes, we headed to the movie theater to see Escape from Germany which was about the missionaries getting out of Germany before the start of WWII.
CL, Mom and Me with the movie poster.

We went to dinner at a yummy Thai restaurant.
Mom and dad

Cheryl-Lynn, Me, Mom and Dad with our food. We ate family style. It was delicious!

CL, Mom (in her tiara) and Me with the puzzle we did and the gifts Mom received.

It warmed up a bit so we were able to go on a walk before we left to drive back to Vegas. I got up really early Tuesday morning to catch my flight home.

Me on the plane home. It was quite empty.

It was a nice trip to see Mom and Dad and celebrate Mom's birthday!
