Visiting Caleb

We were able to visit with Caleb, Emily, Mary K and Craig one evening. It was really nice to be able to see them and catch up on what is happening in each other's lives. We're especially grateful for the opportunity to be able to see Caleb as he grows and develops. He is such a fun-loving boy and likes to be really active. He and Sarah really enjoyed playing together. We found out that they tell him that Sarah is his cousin. That works for me. We just have all sorts of extended family!

We had a yummy dinner!

Caleb enthusiastically set up croquet and then recruited people to play with him. He was very persuasive.

Grandma cheering on Matthew.

Caleb and Emily having a shoot out. Or whatever it's called in croquet.

Matthew loved playing with some of the little trucks.

Megan enjoyed playing in the sandbox.

Me with Mary K, Craig and Emily.

This was where we found Sarah and Caleb when it was time to leave--in the "man cave."

Sarah and Caleb running away together. Yes, they were fast!

When we were leaving, I told Caleb we would see him next time. He said, "And when would that be???" It was pretty funny! We sure love that kid!

Visiting Caleb and Emily

We were able to meet Caleb and Emily for dinner and a visit in the park one evening. It is so nice to be able to see Caleb. He's quite the talkative little boy. He gave us all sorts of advice on exercise and how to be a better racer/runner. He and Sarah had a lot of fun playing. They went around looking for treasures (feathers, rocks, necklaces). Sarah and Caleb had a secret spy club and U was the evil zombie spy. U's job was to capture their beads of power (and them). Of course, if he succeeded, he was to promptly let them go. They also tested the big feather they found to see if if would give them Dumbo-like powers. What creative kids! We had a nice visit with Emily as well. She just recently started a new job and seems to be doing well. Her parents stopped by at the end so we were able to chat with them briefly as well. We sure are grateful that we are able to see Caleb and Emily.

Caleb and Sarah provided live entertainment. U sang what they wanted him to while Sarah and Caleb danced about. Megan and Matthew occasionally ran through as well. The feather that Caleb is holding and the beads Sarah are wearing are treasures they found at the park.

They requested that the audience come up and perform. I believe this is Emily and me doing the hokey pokey.

Caleb and Sarah found lots to do together.

Matthew enjoyed playing at the park and tried to keep up with the big kids.

The evil zombie spy catches one of his victims. He used the flip flop phones to contact their headquarters and tell them he was going to eat them.

The spies taking a quick break.

Megan and Matthew liked riding on Caleb's scooter.

So did Sarah and Caleb. (Too bad the photo is blurry. They went a little faster than the younger two.)

Colorado Trip: Visiting Caleb

We were able to spend a few hours with Caleb, his mom and grandma.  Caleb and Sarah rowed boats, hiked jungles and explored strange planets together.  U got quite the workout by pulling them around in a bike trailer.  We had a nice visit with Emily and Mary K and ate some yummy watermelon.  We sure are thankful we were able to see them!

Sarah and Caleb had a lot of fun playing together!

Sandy Sarah!

They loved being in the kayak!  Especially the LOUD whistle part.

Caleb wanted to hug her for the picture.  There's a roly poly in there somewhere, too.  Caleb found it for Sarah--and he was proud of it!

Here's a couple cute pictures of Caleb from when he went to Georgetown the end of May. What a cute kid!
