Thanksgiving 2025

Grandma and Grandpa A came for a visit at Thanksgiving. We enjoyed lots of visiting, eating good food and playing games and Mario Kart. We participated in the annual Turkey Trot our ward does on Thanksgiving.

Thanksgiving 2024

 For Thanksgiving, we headed up to Cedar City to stay at Grandma and Grandpa A's home.

We stopped by G&G O's home. We ate popcorn, drank limeade and peach juice and had a nice visit. Matthew used his musical abilities to play songs for us.

We arrived at Grandma and Grandpa A's house in time for dinner. The Adams joined us later that evening.

We all helped prepare the food for a delicious Thanksgiving dinner. We were able to talk to Sarah which was nice.

Thanksgiving was also Liz's birthday so we celebrated with her opening 11 presents for her 11th birthday.

We ended the evening playing Oh Heck!, One Night Ultimate Werewolf (Me still has super abilities when it comes to picking up on U's lying in games) and Spoons.

People really enjoyed playing Grandma and Grandpa's new piano. It is quite fancy with light up keys and the ability to play part of a song while someone plays the other part. It can even play the whole song! Me and Matthew enjoyed playing it together with Matthew playing the lower part while Me played the upper part.

We put together quite a few puzzles. Here Grandma, Me and Megan are with a completed puzzle.

Grandma was excited about her new nativity puzzle. It was quite nice although a bit tricky to put together.

Saturday was Me's birthday. We went to see The Best Christmas Pageant Ever which was quite good.

Me enjoyed putting The Night Before Christmas puzzle together (with help!). It is a cherished puzzle from growing up.

We all played Oh Heck! with Megan and Liz being a team. Me won with a score of 94, never going set. What a nice birthday present. Ha ha!

It was a nice, chill visit overall.

November Happenings

Megan and Matthew did a combined ELA/Social Studies project on someone who made significant contributions to history. They both chose someone who had ties to our Great Lakes trip: Megan did Pontiac and Matthew did Henry Rowe Schoolcraft. First they wrote a paper and did a presentation in ELA. Then they made a poster sharing some of the information they learned.

Megan dressed up for her presentation about Pontiac. She figured it was ok to dress up like a female Native American, especially since the males often didn't wear shirts.

Matthew did his project in the shape of a traditional summer home.

Grandma and Grandpa A came for Thanksgiving. We enjoyed doing a 5K Turkey Trot, eating yummy food, playing and watching football, playing games, visiting and going to temple lights. We did a good job not taking many pictures. (Let's say it was because we were living in the moment....)

Nativity

I really liked the orange lights.

They also came in purple. What kind of fruit is that?

Megan quote: Thanksgiving: the one day of the year you should definitely not be wearing Christmas clothes!

(She also believes that Christmas decorations should not be up until AFTER Thanksgiving.)

We enjoyed our  German Yum box.

We used a dog scan app to see what kind of a mix Artemis is.

This was a surprising result.....
Matthew was excited that he was some of the same type of dog as Artemis.

After Matthew's results, we decided to see what type of dog Megan was. This was interesting.

So was this. So Ciel looks like a human but Matthew does not??? Ha ha!

We donated our remaining embryos from IVF to Becca and Matthew. They had a successful cycle and James Ryan was born November 28. He weighed 6 lb. 7 oz. and was 20 inches long. 

What a happy family!
