We've had a busy June! That would explain the lack of blog posts for the past month. I'm trying to get caught up now so figured I'd do one big post about our June activities.
We all took 2 weeks of swimming classes. Sarah did really well! She was in the Frog class and they worked a lot on the form of the strokes. I've been really impressed with her progress--her strokes are looking good! Megan, Matthew, U and I were in a Parent/Toddler class. Megan really enjoyed jumping off the edge of the pool and has started wanting to swim around by kicking her legs and paddling her arms. Matthew seems to enjoy getting dunked under water. He almost always opens his mouth, which is kind of funny. He thinks the pool is cold. Yes, even in Arizona when it's over 100 degrees out!
Sarah took a gymnastics class which she really enjoyed. She and Megan enjoy dressing up and playing gymnastics together.
We went to the Arizona Science Center and enjoyed our time there. U made this carbon nanotube.
We got a membership to the Tumbleweed Rec Center and so did a lot of activities over there. Twice a week they have Tumbleweed Tots where they have a big room filled with lots of toys that the kids can play with. We enjoyed a puppet show (Old MacDonald). Every Wednesday night is family night so we've gone to that a few times and enjoyed making decorations for the 4th of July and seeing Christopher the Magician. They also have family walk time on their track every morning so we've gone to that a few times. Definitely nice to have some place we can go to play that's inside!
We've had lots of teething going on. Megan has gotten a few of her canines and Matthew got his first canine as well. I think canines are horribly painful to get--maybe worst than molars. Sarah also lost another tooth (that's number 5) and the big tooth is already coming in.
We celebrated Father's Day. We made daddy banana pancakes for breakfast. They were super yummy! For dessert we had chia seed pudding with cherries on it.
Matthew is now officially in nursery. He hasn't gone to a full nursery yet but went a few times with daddy to the play part at the beginning. He initially wasn't too sure about it and played right around U. Then he started following Megan. He was definitely glad to have Megan there. I'm not sure Megan appreciated a little shadow that wanted to play with all her toys, though. "Isn't nursery when I don't have to share toys with my brother?" she wants to know. I'm sure they'll do find once they get used to being in there together.
Other than that, we've had lots of playing around the house. Sarah goes to the summer movie program once a week with some friends. Quite a few of us got a stomach bug. We go to the library to get lots of books to read. Overall, a fun month. Except for the stomach bug part.

Sarah made flags for all of us on Father's Day. The one of the left is for U (the back is shown below). The one in the middle is for Sarah (It says "Happy kids day!" because we told her every day is kid's day.). The one on the right is for me and says "Hope you have a good day."

Matthew hugging Megan. They sure love each other....most of the time.

I've got my milk, I've got my purse and I've got Spunky. I am good to go!
Matthew in a box. Matthew loves this box! He'll go over and lay in it for quite awhile.
