The Greatest Gift

For Family Home Morning this week, we had a bunch of presents under the tree. The kids were all super excited when they came down and saw them there. We opened them and found in each box a gift from God. There were a lot, including family, temples, baptism, the Holy Ghost, miracles, faith, prophets. We talked about what each of these gifts was and how it blessed us. The last box had "eternal life." We discussed how and why that is the greatest of all the gifts of God.

Feasting

Our family scripture for the year is 2 Nephi 31:20. Each month, we've been focusing on a different part of the verse and this month, we're talking about "feasting upon the word of Christ."

Yesterday for dinner, we made a "feast."

And then dished up a portion of the feast for everyone. We discussed how sometimes this is how we approach our study of the Gospel--there's so much laid before us and yet we just take a few little nibbles. We then talked about different ways we can feast on the word.

And then we feasted. On the food :)

Philippians 4:13

Megan read this scripture this morning, with daddy's help. It went something like this:

Daddy: "I can do all things"
Megan: "I can do all things all by myself!"
