Visiting Cedar City

We headed to Cedar City to stay with grandma and grandpa. Aunt Cheryl-Lynn and Liz came as well. Ben was going to come but did not because he was sick. Speaking of being sick, Me got sick on the trip and by the time we were in Cedar City, she ended up sounding like a frog. Funsies!

We enjoyed putting puzzles together, watching basketball games and shows (the kids watched Seeking Persephone with grandpa), playing games (Grandpa was an actual troublemaker in One Night Ultimate Werewolf, making trouble by opening his eyes with the werewolves even though he was the troublemaker), playing monster, going on walks and a hike. We had a nice visit!

Me and CL with the glow-in-the-dark fairy puzzle we put together.

There were 22 fairies in the puzzle, some hidden. It was cool to see it glow in the dark.

We saw some pretty flowers when we walked around the temple. I miss the perennial flowers we used to have in Colorado.

Cheryl-Lynn made elderberry syrup for us all to drink. It must have helped because nobody else got sick. One night, she accidentally pulled out the beet juice. It did not taste the same at all! Can you tell which is which?

Another puzzle we put together.

Spring Break: Cedar City

We were happy spend a few days with Grandma and Grandpa A.

Matthew, Megan, Grandpa, Grandma, Me helping tie Grandma's Easter ornaments. We helped her decorate for Easter while we were visiting.

Megan and Matthew enjoyed playing in the snow!

Close up of the snowmen. Matthew put some of his winter clothes on his snowman.

Megan stamped out "You are loved."

Sledding.

Part of the snow wall they built. Snow really is a novelty when you live in a hot desert.

Wednesday evening, we got the exciting news that Megan and Matthew's robotics team was invited to the Worlds competition in Dallas in May. There was much cheering! We played Guesstures which is always fun.

Thursday evening, we went to Parowan to see the musical production of Little Women. It was quite enjoyable.

Friday, U, Matthew and Grandpa went up to Brian Head Resort to go skiing. They had a great time.

Meanwhile, Megan, Grandma and Me had a fun day, putting together a puzzle and getting lunch at the Asian Bistro.

Saturday morning, Megan and Matthew worked on their engineering notebook for Worlds. After lunch, we headed to Parowan Gap to see the petroglyphs.
Cool petroglyphs

To completely different interpretations of the above petroglyphs.

More petroglyphs

This one looks like a waffle.

We also saw the dinosaur tracks, although they were pretty challenging to see.

Sunday, we left early to drive home. We stopped by Grandma and Grandpa O's house. Suzanna and her family were visiting.
Sebastian, U and Suzanna. Sebastian still calls U "the magic boy with no hair" (referencing the magic tricks U did with Sebastian on the family cruise).
