Hike at Papago Park
After visiting the Botanical Garden, we decided to head over to Papago Park. Sarah really wanted to climb to Hole in the Rock. It looked a little challenging from the way we were coming at it, especially with two 2 year olds, so we headed around the back and found it led right to where we wanted to go without any crazy climbing required.
Hello up there Sarah!
Cute Megan!
Matthew really wanted to walk all by himself. It was pretty steep and he did a good job.
Trip to the Botanical Garden
On President's Day, we took a trip to the Desert Botanical Gardens.
U and the kids with the winter sculpture.
Me and the kids with the summer sculpture.
Relaxing in some comfy chairs.
Megan and Matthew like them too.
Ooooooh! Water!

Valentine's Day Dance
This past weekend, there was a Valentine's Day Daddy/Daughter Dance. Sarah and U look forward to it every year and this year was no different. They enjoyed the pasta dinner and danced a bunch. Sarah especially liked dancing with the other girls although she does like her dad flipping her over his back.
Friends forever
One of Sarah's good friends, Avery, moved to California last week. Sarah has been sad Avery is leaving. She was glad Avery was able to stop by last week to say good-bye.
Nice picture for posterity. (L-R Natalie, Avery, Sarah)
Real life picture.
Helm, helm, helm
Megan and Matthew love wearing their "helms" as they call them.
Guess who put his helmet on? I love the sheer delight on his face.
Isn't it a cool helmet? (And notice how he's cooking...)
Happy Megan!

Sarah, a self portrait
Sarah also took some pictures of herself. Here is the unabridged version.
I'm not sure if I should be disturbed by some of the pictures or not. U thinks we just have a daughter who is being expressive.
FYI, in the second to last picture, Matthew is seeing what is going on with his big sister and in the last one, Megan is.

The many faces of Matthew
Sarah took a bunch of pictures of Matthew the other day that really capture a lot of his faces. So here they are, for your viewing enjoyment:)
Her favorite picture is the last one.

Something about trains
There is just something about trains. It is fun to see them run on their tracks. It is fun to hook them together. It is even more fun to build a track on a limited space for your kids to play. :)

Dance Party!!!
We have two toddlers in our house who LOVE to dance. So we have a lot of dance parties. Here are some pictures from a recent one.
(Note: We also have a 7 year old who loves to dance. She just isn't at home for all the dance parties that go on.)
Dancing Megan!
An important part of dancing involves having a stuffed animal as a partner. They will even bring me one.
A little blurry, but it shows them both dancing.
All tuckered out!

Run Sarah, run!
It's running club season again. Sarah's been having practices since November and her first race was this past Tuesday. Her plan was to run fast so she would get a ribbon. And she did! She was the 29th girl to finish overall. (Which isn't the 29th fastest time since they start the older kids earlier--the 2nd grade girls are the 5th group of girls to start, which means she was probably lower than 29th in terms of time it took her to run the race.) And she was second for 2nd grade girls.
Getting her ribbon. I love their shirts! ("This shirt is 100% faster when I'm wearing it.")
(U would like to point out that her shirt is actually infinitely faster when she is wearing it. Gotta love them engineers:) )
With her 2nd place ribbon! Go Sarah!
