USS Midway and the boardwalk

Friday, we headed down to the harbor to tour the USS Midway. That is one impressive ship! We learned about different planes and saw quite a few on the flight deck. We also learned a lot about life on board an aircraft carrier. They really had a little city on that boat. I'm sure glad there were signs telling us which way to go; otherwise I'm certain we would still be wandering around trying to find our way out.

We rode the trolley to the harbor, which the kids thought was a lot of fun.

That evening, we walked/rode along the boardwalk as the sun was setting. That was really nice and the kids were all quite excited to be riding their bikes and scooter. We finished off our day with ice cream and sorbet. Yum!

Favorite part of day:
Matthew: riding bike on boardwalk
Megan: riding bike on boardwalk
Sarah: touring USS Midway
Me: walking along the boardwalk at sunset

U: touring the USS Midway; also, the time once all the kids were in bed
