Airplane trip!

We flew to Colorado this summer. The kids were really excited about flying and really excited about not sitting for 14 hours in the car each way. In fact, Matthew actually talked to his swim teacher about his excitement about his upcoming flight. (Apparently it was the first time he'd said much to her at all. It seems a little weird since he's usually a talkative little guy, but he can be shy as well, especially at first. So after 3 1/2 months of swim lessons, this is what broke the ice!)

They did fairly well on the flight. They were all super excited to get on the plane even though it meant saying bye to daddy. (It was so nice he was able to help us through security!) Megan decided we should be there pretty much as soon as we were sitting down and didn't understand that we had to wait for all the other people to get on the plane and that flying actually takes some time. We all did survive the flight and were happy to see grandma on the other end.
