Great Lakes Day 10: Seney NWR, Tahq Falls State Park, Whitefish Point

We packed up and headed out. It was still quite windy and rainy. Here are a couple of photos from by our hotel.

We went by Seney National Wildlife Refuge. We knew we probably wouldn't see a lot of wildlife due to the weather but wanted to stop anyway.

Next, we stopped by Tahquamenon Falls State Park.

We walked around the Lower Falls, which is a series of five waterfalls around an island.

You can kind of see the five falls here--two on the left and three on the right.

We then went to the Great Lakes Shipwreck Museum. Whitefish Point, where the museum was located, was a critical point in the shipping thoroughfares as all ships had to pass by it when entering or exiting Lake Superior. The museum was a bit depressing as there were lots of stories about ships that sunk. Often, a lot of the crew survived but not always.

It was still very windy and, at times, rainy.

The number of kids we have keeps multiplying....

We then checked into our hotel, which had just changed ownership 3 days before, and ate some dinner before watching Wanda Vision.

U had a barbeque burger.  It came with slices of granny smith apples on it.  He thought it was delicious.
