Sunday night, we headed to the airport for an early Monday departure (1:25 am). If we're looking a little tired while waiting at the Delhi airport, that's why.
The plane to Tokyo was not quite as nice or spacious as the plane to Delhi but it was still nice. Everyone slept some. We also watched Finding Dory. I enjoyed looking out the window at the land/ocean below. I think I even saw Mt. Fuji peaking out above the clouds as we were getting close to Tokyo. (There was definitely something--I'm just not completely sure if it was Mt. Fuji.)
U catching up on sleep while the girls enjoy the entertainment.
Matthew sleeping.
This is the meal they served before we landed. We had a choice of an egg casserole or fish. This flight had the best food of our travels.
Once we arrived in Tokyo, we moseyed through customs and immigration. The kids enjoyed looking at the toy vending machines.
Sign in bathroom at airport. We saw these all over Tokyo, probably because a lot of Asian countries (including India) squat to use the toilet and throw the toilet paper on the ground instead of in the toilet (since it would clog the septic system).
We rode the Keisei Skyliner to Nippori station. It's not a bullet train but it does go 160 km/hr.

U, Me and Matthew.
Matthew was happy to see that a Japanese fire station close to the train station. We saw a police car and an ambulance (with lights on!) as well.
We also saw a digger as we walked to the guest house.
Once at the guest house, we unpacked a bit. U went with the younger kids to the store across the street to pick up some food for dinner. We enjoyed eating some yummy ramen! We then went to a park close to the guest house. It had some neat play structures and the kids really enjoyed playing there.
It was interesting to compare/contrast India and Japan at this time as we'd just left one and just arrived in the other. Some of the observations were that it was a lot quieter without a lot of honking, people used crosswalks and even waited for the walking man before crossing, we could use the tap water for brushing our teeth and drinking and it was cold (in the 60s).
We picked up some Pasmo cards to use on the trains and metro. Here the kids are holding theirs at our guest house.
Our four cards. Matthew didn't need one as kids 5 and under are free. The girls' cards have their names printed on them because we had to show proof of age so they could get the child fare.
A few pictures from the guest house. U and Me's room.
Kids' room.
Special slippers for the toilet area.
