One evening, we headed to downtown Provo.
We stopped at the Provo City Center temple to look around. It's really beautiful!
Angel "Ramoni," as Matthew calls him.
Matthew, U and Me in one of the doors of the temple. U and I were able to go to the temple later in the week, which was neat. It's really beautiful inside although I was surprised by how small it was. We went in the room that was designed by my friend's dad and that my friend helped to paint. Pretty cool!
With Megan.
Sarah and Charly, showing us how it's possible to get on temple grounds even if the gates are closed (which they weren't when we were there).
An artsy shot!
We then stopped at Bruges Waffles and Frites to get some gaufres (Liege waffles) and frites (fries). The fries were quite good and even served in a fry cone like they are in Belgium with lots of choices of dipping sauces. The gaufres were yummy as well--definitely the best I've had on this side of the pond.
Sarah, Me and Matthew. Notice the fry cone on the left.
Grandma, Charly and Sarah.
Megan, Matthew and Grandpa.
So glad you finally got to get the waffles
ReplyDeleteSounds like it brought back lots of good memories of your time in Belgium.
