Sunday in California

Sunday was a bit of a down day. We ate at the hotel breakfast which the kids really liked. Then we went to church. The Ward we attended had a very nice Christmas program with a lot of songs, including a few where the 7 Primary girls in the Ward sang and a few with the Primary girls playing the piano. (Apparently if you are in this ward, you can't have a Primary-aged boy.)  Megan "braided" my hair (really more like twisted it) and she was so intent on putting in lots of little braids. It was super cute.

We came home, ate lunch and had quiet time. After dinner, we headed over to Downtown Disney, where we enjoyed the Christmas decorations.

Warm hugs from Olaf!

Sarah and Olivia.

With toy soldier.

Christmas tree at ice rink.

Cheese!

These three are the best presents we could hope for!

We wandered around the Disneyland Hotel. We saw some carollers singing front of the Gingerbread house which was really fun.

This Autopia car got way off course--it was in the Disneyland Hotel Lobby!

We walked through Paradise Pier to check out their tree and then went to the Grand Californian. We saw their huge real gingerbread house. We heard a story at the fireplace they have. And we heard carollers in the lobby. It was fun!

The Grand Californian's real Gingerbread house. It was big--7 1/2 feet tall and 12 feet wide!

In front of the tree. The lobby is super cozy.

The carollers. I could have listened to them all night!

We then headed home for bed.

Favorite part of day:
Matthew: hotel breakfast
Megan: going to church, hotel breakfast
Sarah: hotel breakfast
Me: Megan braiding my hair during church, hearing the carolers and the story at the hotels
U: Christmas program at church
