Yellowstone: Lamar Valley

We left Mammoth behind and headed to Lamar Valley.

We stopped at the Petrified Tree.

The kids enjoyed climbing around the outside of the fence. Some of the older kids raced to see how quickly they could go.

A mosquito. We figured as long as we were taking pictures of wildlife, we should get a photo of the most common wildlife we saw.....

A black bear. It was sleeping under this tree. It then woke up, rubbed itself on the tree and rested  a bit before lumbering up the hill.

Lamar Valley was beautiful! So lush and green. And there were lots of bison as well as other animals. This is the first herd of bison we saw.

U got out of the car to take some pictures. Then the coyote moved so he was between U and our cars. Me might have been a bit nervous.....

At least U got some good pictures.

Leaving for a bit.

Right after the coyote, we came to a part of the valley where there were hundreds and hundreds of bison. It was quite an impressive sight!
