We enjoyed staying in adjoining rooms with my sister's family.
We headed to California Adventure nice and early and were at the rope for rope drop. We met a couple who plays a game called "Spot the Mormons." Yes, we were spotted.
After snagging some Fast Passes for Radiator Springs Racers, we headed to Toy Story Midway Mania. We walked on the first time and then had very short waits the next two times. The kids improved their score each time. My high score was 113k, which is awesome for me!
Hurry and do it again!
Kiley, Sarah and U went on California Screamin'.
The rest of us went on King Triton's Carousel a couple of times.
Our whole family plus Luke went on Radiator Springs Racers. We all loved it!
Cheryl-Lynn, Benjamin, Kiley and Megan went on Radiator Springs Racers.
The rest of us went on Luigi's Rollickin' Roadsters. It's a new ride with lots of cars dancing around on a big track. It's all choreographed, so you just sit in the car and enjoy the dance. It's fun to watch, too!
Elizabeth and U.
Me and Matthew.
Andrew, Sarah and Luke.
Luke, Sarah, Kiley and U went on Tower of Terror.
The rest of us went on Mater's Junkyard Jamboree and then The Little Mermaid.
We all joined up. I went to snag Fast Passes for Soarin Over California while the Adams plus Sarah went on Mickey's Fun Wheel and U and Megan and Matthew went on the Golden Zephyr.
When I joined U, Megan and Matthew, we went on Jumpin Jellyfish. This was one of the rides Matthew was really excited he could go on and he kept asking about it. Look at his big smile!
Hey Megan!
Up, up, up we go!
The four of us also went on Little Mermaid.
We saw the Green Men show and some of the kids went up to help. They all became honorary toys in Andy's playroom.
We then rode Soarin' over California. That is my favorite ride! It was a bit different, though, as there weren't smells since they're getting ready to change it over to Soarin over the World.
Our family plus Luke rode Radiator Springs Racers.
Then CL, Kiley, Luke and Matthew rode it.
We got some group photos at the front of Carsland.
Those of us who didn't go on Radiator Springs went on Mater's Junkyard Jamboree. Benjamin was really having a hard time (we later figured out he was sick). He was crying on most rides. He was NOT excited about going on this ride; he'd cried on it earlier in the day with his mom. As soon as we got in line, he started whimpering. I distracted him by having him tell me about our eye color and then by looking at the eye color of the tractors. I had him choose what color eyes he wanted our tractor to have. When we rode, I braced my feet on the bottom of the tractor so we didn't move around a lot in the tractor and talked about how fun it was. I'm happy to say that he didn't cry during the ride and may have even liked it!
Sarah and Andrew, enjoying the ride!
Most people headed back for a break. Kiley had three Fast Passes for Soarin' and since only Luke and Kiley were going on it, I was persuaded to go on it with them (it was really hard. ha ha!) before taking a break.
After break, we picked out some pressed pennies and then rode Soarin. We watched the Pixar Parade.
Mr. Incredible.
Nemo!
See the captive audience?
Sarah pushing big ball.
Matthew was excited to see Lightning.....
And Mater.
We picked up some dinner before our family rode Goofy's Sky School. Matthew loved it so much that he went on it again right away with U.
Megan and I snapped a few pictures on Paradise Pier.
Notice the leaf in Megan's hand. She loves collecting them wherever we go!
We saw a lady painting different Disney characters on the sidewalk with water. It was really cool!
Sarah and U went on California Screamin again while the rest of us went on Monsters, Inc.
Kiley took Sarah and Luke on Tower of Terror.
U took Elizabeth and Benjamin on Monsters again. Cheryl-Lynn, Andrew, Megan, Matthew and I got on the Trolley. It was going the opposite way that we'd planned on going (we were going to go on Soarin'. However, the kids had been asking to ride the trolley and it was there, so we got on it). The Trolley driver had pretty funny commentary. We then went on the bumper cars in Bugsland.
CL, Luke, Sarah, Megan, Matthew and I went on Radiator Springs Racers at night--it's beautiful! We were excited to go through the paint shop as we'd gone through the tire shop the other times.
U and the remaining Adams went on Mater's Junkyard Jamboree. After we met back up again, the Adams left to go to their cousin's in San Diego (although they didn't end up going since Benjamin had a fever. And then Andrew threw up the next day. And then the rest of the family got sick. But that's another story for another day!)
Our family went on Soarin' Over California one more time. I rode it four times! We then saw the end of World of Color before leaving the park after it had closed.
Matthew: getting to go on new rides
Megan: all of it!
Sarah: Tower of Terror with Luke
Me: getting Benjamin to enjoy Maters (he was having such a hard time!)
U: getting Me the best spot on Soarin (top row, center position)

Soarin has been one of my favorites all through the years! But my, you sure pack a lot into one day! You know how to work the system for sure. And with cousins makes it just that much more fun!
