Preschool: A Pair of Red Clogs

The past few weeks, we've been reading A Pair of Red Clogs for preschool. We learned about Japan geography and culture. We studied weather. A favorite activity was making a cloud by putting hot water in a jar with an ice cube on the lid and letting that sit for a few minutes. Then we lit a match and put it in the jar. The smoke combined with the water vapor to create a cloud. We may have done this over, and over, and over!

Playing the weather forecast game from the book: kick off your shoe and based on how it lands, you know what the weather will be like tomorrow. The kind of weather Megan and Matthew said they liked the most? Snow, of course!

  1. Making clouds sounds fascinating! And kicking off your shoes to forecast the weather might work as well as other things--Mother Nature seems to have a mind of her own sometimes. Keep up the fun learning!
