Here's a picture U took from the train station. If you zoom up on it, you can see the left side of the stroller up by the Partners Statue. You can even see the back of my head and some of my jacket a little to the right of that. Pretty cool picture.
Once the park opened, the kids and I rode Casey Jr train (their choice). We were the first and only people on it for our first ride. We got to go on the second ride of the day, too, since there was room for us on the train with the few people who came on.
U joined us and we all rode Alice in Wonderland. The kids and I then rode Dumbo and Mr. Toad's Wild Ride. The latter was on Sarah's short list of rides she wanted to ride and there was no wait, so we figured we should take advantage of it.

How does this thing work.....
We headed over to Adventureland. We were able to walk on to Jungle Cruise. I think that's such a fun ride--all the little cheesy jokes are fun (like "the backside of water"). We then explored Tarzan's Treehouse and visited the birds and flowers in the Tiki Room.
We went to the Rapunzel show in the new Fantasyland Theatre. This is something I'd really wanted to see. Vaudeville-style storytellers told the story of Rapunzel and Flynn Ryder. It was really fun! Immediately after, we were able to meet Rapunzel and Flynn Ryder.

It was now time for us to ride the Lilly Belle so we headed up Main Street. The Lilly Belle is one of the original observation cars of the Disneyland Railroad. It was named in honor of Walt Disney's wife "Lillian" and has lots of fun memorabilia from Walt Disney and family. The cast member who rode with us told us interesting facts both about the Lilly Belle and about Disneyland. It was a neat experience!
We rode the double decker bus down Main Street to the hub and then took the horse-drawn carriage back to Town Square.

The kids and I headed back to the hotel. U rode the Matterhorn and Radiator Springs Racers.
After a rest, we headed back to Disneyland. We rode the Mark Twain right away. (We had planned on riding it on Friday after dinner but discovered it only sailed until 5:45. We didn't want to miss it again.) It was fun to sail around Tom Sawyer's Island.
We then headed to Big Thunder Mountain Ranch. Wow! I love that place. It's a quiet little corner in an otherwise busy park. There's a little petting zoo that was fun for the kids.

We then ate dinner at Big Thunder Mountain Ranch BBQ. It's a family-style all-you-can-eat meal and is yummy. They bring the food out in buckets which is fun. The coleslaw is yummy as are the beans. There was lots of chicken and sausage and ribs, too. They even made some special bread and corn for Matthew.
They had some live entertainment while we ate and had the kids come help with some of it. Can you spot Sarah?
After dinner, we headed over to the King Arthur Carrousel. We had to ride it two times because Sarah found her horse and needed more bonding time with it. Seriously. (Who would have thought that a carrousel would be one of her favorite rides. But it was...)
We then rode it's a small world. We played in Toon Town for a bit. The kids enjoyed exploring Goofy's House and visiting Donald's Boat, the Miss Daisy.

We then went over to California Adventure to ride Radiator Springs Racers after dark since we hadn't been able to on Saturday. Sarah and I rode first while U, Megan and Matthew rode on Mater's Junkyard Jamboree. Then U and Sarah rode.

Megan, Matthew and I rode the Buena Vista Street Trolley Cars. They were super excited about it and thought it was great. We then headed back to the hotel.
After riding the Racers, U and Sarah rode Silly Symphony Swings once and Goofy's Sky School twice. Sarah really liked Goofy's Sky School!

Another busy day at Disneyland. My goodness you all did a lot! I love the picture with the peace signs--and two confused toddlers. Memories, memories!
