At a doctor's appointment on July 1st, Megan weighed in at 19 lb, 12 oz.
Megan the Explorer: Megan continues to be an explorer. She is getting to be a better crawler and is more confident in going longer distances. She'll crawl pretty much any place she can get to. Sometimes her path choice is interesting--she'll squeeze between the two bouncy seats and under the swing instead of going around, but whatever works!
Megan the Explorer conquers Mount Honey (Sarah thought that sounded better than Mount Pooh); she'll climb over the couch and under it
Megan under our stool. Yes, she got under it herself. It seems she thinks this stool is a tunnel.
Megan under another stool. She needed a bit of help getting out of this one.
Eating: Megan does not always want to sit still while eating a bottle these days. I'm sure it doesn't help that I'm sometimes trying to feed two babies at once, either. Megan will come drink a little and then go play a little. She reminds both U and I of a suckling calf when she does this, especially as she often pulls herself up on the boppy while drinking. In terms of solids, Megan likes almost everything we've given her, the one exception being yogurt (although she was teething at the time so that may have had something to do with it).
Yummy Food!
I'm so glad when Daddy comes home: Megan loves her daddy. Every day when he comes home from work, she will crawl over to him and pull up on him. He then picks her up and gives her a big hug. She will also go to where she can be close to him other times as well. For instance, the other day he was upstairs talking to us and she heard him so she went over to the gate and waited for him to come to her. She certainly loves him! She's even given him a few kisses:)
Pull to stand: Megan is now pulling to standing a lot. Pretty much every time we get her from her room, she is standing in her crib waiting for us. She likes pulling up on the couches and we've found that that is no longer a safe place to put things that we don't want her playing with. She, on the other hand, is thrilled with her ability to reach a lot more places and has been found grabbing pens, the phone and Sarah's toys among other things. She has taken a few steps as well, although she doesn't cruise regularly yet.
Waving: Megan has started waving. She loves that she gets a reaction out of people and so she practices her wave a lot! She has also started interacting more with people in general--smiling and cooing and wanting to go to particular people (like daddy...).
Pacifiers: Megan likes that she can take the pacifiers from the car seats. She's equally happy using hers or Matthew's. In fact, sometimes she'll have them both and alternate which one is in her mouth.
"Who me? Use my brother's pacifier? What makes you think that?" (she has her own in her hand, although it's hard to see)
Other Pictures:
With toy ring in her mouth. She crawls around with these in her mouth all the time.

Figuring out how this works...
Lots and lots of rings
I'm so cute!
