Swimming: Because I'm crazy (sleep-deprived?), I signed Sarah up for four weeks of swimming Monday through Thursday at 8 am. We've done this in past years and I like the early time because it is cooler and the sun is less intense. It's also great for Sarah to have the physical activity first thing in the morning. However, getting mom and Sarah out the door is a lot easier than mom, Sarah, Megan and Matthew. I knew this would be the case, of course, but reasoned that we didn't need to leave that much earlier than when we took Sarah to school. That little bit earlier made a difference, though. We did get Sarah to swimming every day, albeit sometimes a little after 8. Anyhow, so Sarah had four weeks of swimming. She liked it for the most part, although she thinks the pool was a cold at the beginning (it wasn't heated and so was a bit chilly). She learned the butterfly and breaststroke and continued working on front and back stroke. Her favorite part of the class is when she got to dive to the bottom of the pool for things (12 feet deep!). She was the best kid in the class at this, even though she was probably the youngest. In fact, when they saw something that wasn't supposed to be at the bottom of the pool that needed to be picked up, the biggest kid in the class said that Sarah could get it. And she did. Her teacher's comment on her evaluation said, "Great underwater swims."
Play Factory: I blogged about this as part of Sarah's birthday. However, I wanted to include a few pictures of Megan and Matthew. Megan enjoyed crawling around on the bouncer, although she was a little cautious at first. Matthew seemed pretty indifferent, although that's probably to be expected since he was just carried everywhere.
Our Not Twins: Our "not twins" are getting closer in size. However, when people look closely at them, they'll say things like, "They're not twins. She's bigger than he is." Yup! And it might be that way for awhile.
Circus: U got tickets to the circus from work so we went. It was pretty fun. Sarah was enthralled the whole time. She said her favorite part was the tight-rope. My favorite part was the aerialists. U enjoyed the jugglers and the people on jumping stilts. Megan liked it a lot--she kept waving to the performers. Matthew liked watching it pretty well, too.
Sibling Bath: Sarah, Megan and Matthew took their first bath all together. Megan really enjoyed being out of the bath seat because she could crawl all around the tub. Sarah says it was fun. Matthew enjoyed it like he enjoys his baths in general.
