Play: Matthew has started playing peekaboo which is fun. He loves grabbing his toes. There was a while when anything in the car seat that interfered with his ability to grab his toes would end up on the ground. He is super ticklish and will laugh and laugh! He is still running—where? We don’t know!
Nebulizer: When Matthew was wheezing and we were doing the nebulizer treatments, he had a pattern he would follow. At the beginning of each treatment, he would eagerly open his mouth and would sometimes even lick the mask. Then he got tired of it and would scream and cry and squirm to try to get the mask off of his face. Towards the end, he seemed to accept the inevitable and would sit still—kind of a reluctant acceptance of what was going on.
Observant: Matthew is very aware of what is going on and will turn his head to watch people a lot. He likes doing this in his bumbo and often turns his body while in it to see what is going on. Sometimes the positions he is in look uncomfortable!
Thumb sucking: Matthew has started sucking his thumb and sometimes his fingers on a somewhat regular basis.
