Norway Day 1: Travel

 Friday morning, we ate breakfast and then headed to the airport. It was nice that we had a bit later flight so that we didn't have to get up early. At the airport, we never had to show ID which seemed really strange. We had to scan our boarding pass multiple times but never with someone verifying the info.

Matthew, Me, U and Megan on the plane. The flight was mostly uneventful. It was a bit cloudy but as we got close to Ålesund, there were some breaks in the clouds and we saw lots of steep mountain ridges. 

Once we arrived, we picked up our rental car and stopped by the store for some groceries. Then we drove to Åndalsnes. There were a lot of tunnels and we drove by a number of fjords! As we got close to our lodging, we saw cows crossing the road via an overpass. That was interesting. We arrived at our Trollveggen Camping which was really nice.

Our lovely car. It was quite fancy and would pretty much brake by itself. It did take a bit to get used to driving it.
