On New Year's Day, we headed down to the Ostrich Ranch which was really cool. There were lots of animals to feed including donkeys, deer, goats, sheep, parakeets, chickens, geese and rabbits. And ostriches, of course. They said you could hand feed the ostriches but they nipped both U's and Me's hands when we made any attempt in that direction. Much more enjoyable were the goats who we could "kiss" by putting food in our mouth and letting them grab it with their mouth. It was quite fun. We were some of the first people there so we had most of the animals' full attention.

|
| The parakeets loved the seed sticks! |

| U feeding some deer. Interestingly, most of the deer were not interested in the food. |
|
| Hand feeding the chickens. Me was a bit nervous but found that the pecking was very gentle. |

We all enjoyed feeding the lorikeets!
We then fed the stingrays.

We drove to Tucson and went to lunch with Sarah. It was nice to see her
again.
