April 2022

Here's some of what happened in April.

Sarah at Anasazi. We were so excited to receive a picture.

U, Me, Megan, and Matthew with the mac and cheese recipe Sarah sent us from the trail.

Megan loves the huge stuffed dinosaur!

Megan and Matthew gathered all the candles in the house for the night we used candles instead of artificial light. It was an interesting experiences. We played UNO and Me couldn't tell the difference between blue and green so we played them as the same color.

We went to Anasazi Day at Schnepf Farms. There were hands on activities like working with leather, making jewelry and making dreamcatchers. They showed us how they start fires by rubbing wood together. We met a lot of people who have been involved with Anasazi and heard their stories.
Matthew, Megan and U sewing leather bags. Matthew really enjoyed it and wants to make it a new hobby.

Going on the train ride around the grounds.

Megan and Me on a swing by where we made dreamcatchers.

Homemade baklava. Delicious!

Matthew petting the goats.

Matthew jumping on the big air pillow.

Megan jumping on the air pillow.

Megan petting a goat.

Matthew and Megan wanted to help make a talking stick for the fire circles we have in our backyard. Here, they are sanding it.

Me, Megan and Matthew with the apricot bread we made from the recipe Sarah sent.

We have had fire circles a number of times. The fire looks really cool especially how it can create a sheet of fire around the rim.

Playing UNO on Family Fun Night.

Megan with some of the other girls at the Easter Pageant.

We went to the Lego Discovery Center. Megan and Matthew spent most of the time in the elaborate play area that they have.

Megan enjoyed keeping an eye out on what was going on.

Matthew enjoyed playing in the play area as well.

U made this baby dinosaur.

Did the dinosaur find its mommy? Or its demise?

The Easter Bunny found our house.

Megan and Matthew enjoyed gathering eggs at the community Easter Egg hunt.

Megan liked getting dunked in the dunk tank at the community gathering.

Megan dying eggs.

All of our Easter eggs.

Megan in a fort she made.

Matthew in a fort he made.

We completed this puzzle.

And then rearranged it to discover this.

Matthew playing basketball at the Fathers and Sons Outing.

With a boca burger we made. The first time we attempted this recipe that Sarah sent us, we failed (dried milk is not the same as flour). This was the second attempt and it was much better.

Megan and Matthew decorated this Bunny House that they got from AZCEND. They really liked the bunny bottom on this side of the house--it's like it got stuck going in.

We went to the temple to do baptisms.

Megan, Matthew, Me and U at the Music Man

One morning, Megan, Matthew and Me were discussing where Mario from. Was it Spain? Italy? We googled it. He's from the Mushroom Kingdom. 😂

When Megan was asked by a friend how far apart she and Matthew are, she said, "3 months and 24 days. You don't have to memorize that. Just don't say we are four months apart. Or that we are twins."
When she told us about this, she added, "We are like Irish twins. But we are not even Irish!"

Here are a couple other pictures we received from Anasazi of Sarah on the trail. She is looking good.
