March Happenings

Third quarter, Megan and Matthew did a book report on an author. They both chose to do J.K. Rowling. Here are their final reports. (They gave their reports as if they were J.K. Rowling.)

Sarah participated in a recycled raingutter regatta with YW. They made boats out of recycled materials and then raced them. Here are a couple pictures of Sarah racing.

Pajama day at school.

Matthew drew this story at a Primary activity and then turned it into a puzzle. It is the story of Samuel the Lamanite preaching to the Nephites.

Megan had her half birthday. She was excited to get a Pokemon drawing book. (The balloon is from Valentine's Day.)

Megan and Matthew participated in a Color Run at school. They qualified to participate by reading a bunch of different genres of books to complete a color palette. Matthew actively tried to avoid the colors (and was mostly successful) and Megan didn't get too colorful either.

Megan's birthmom and kids were in town so we had dinner with them at her parents' home. Some of her extended family was there as well.

Megan is still a little bit taller than Robert.

This is when things really changed. The last day of school before a 2 week spring break was March 6th. We had plans to head to Utah to visit grandparents and for Sarah to attend a training class.  We were going to see the Adams on the way home from Utah. We managed to make it as far as Grandma and Grandpa A's home but did not get the other places due to the spread of the coronavirus. It was the first of many changes to come including home church, stay at home orders and the closure of many businesses. School is from home for the rest of the year. Spring break ended up being extended by one week so the teachers could prepare for the online schooling.

For the first week of virtual school, the elementary school had a spirit week where the kids took a picture with objects of specific color(s) each day. Monday was red.

Tuesday was orange and yellow.

There has been lots of playing with Tegu blocks.
