Joshua Tree National Park Day 2

Sunday morning, we went to church before heading back to Joshua Tree National Park.

Megan loved this beautiful, flowering tree at the church.

There were so many joshua trees as we entered the park from the Joshua Tree entrance. Me commented that it looked like a field of Joshua trees. Matthew pointed out that was really a forest of Joshua trees.

Our main stop was Cap Rock where we did a lot of rock scrambling.

This Joshua tree was a nice bench for Megan, U and Matthew.

 The kids enjoyed creating a home for us at Cap Rock. (As a side note, it's so nice to know that no matter what happens, our children will have a home as they can created them out of rocks or cardboard boxes.)

A view of our home from the ground. It was primarily on the right side of the formation. The patio seen above is just above the top of the right Joshua tree.

U and Sarah climbed up under the rock at the top of the picture.  There is a big open space there and the rock is being held up by a pillar.

This formation was named "5 guys on a bike with grandpa" by our children.

Sarah really loved climbing here. She did get to the top although we didn't get a picture of her there.

Matthew thought this looked like an MTT from Star Wars.

This 43 foot tall Joshua tree really stands out. Megan remembered that Ranger Bill told us about this tree and watched for it while we were driving.

We definitely enjoyed our time in Joshua Tree National Park!
