Easter Celebrations

Easter Eve is always a day of major excitement in our house as the Easter Bunny makes his annual stop and hides eggs for the kids to find. This year was no exception and kids were up and ready to search bright and early. When they came down stairs, Easter baskets were waiting for them as well as a letter from EB reminding them of the true meaning of Easter.

These were of immediate interest.

Then the kids set out into the backyard in search of the eggs. This year, the bunny gave them ears which corresponded to the egg color they were looking for.

After many jelly beans were consumed, everyone got ready to go to our ward Easter egg hunt. There were many more eggs to find and many more children to find them.

Everyone got their share.

There were also many more rabbits running around.

This last one looks especially shifty...

One of the big hits of the day for the kids was that each of them received a glowing ball in their basket. They all activated them and enjoyed playing with their orbs of fire, ice and poison. Megan wanted her ball to be lit forever but when that dream was quashed she settled for a picture. All the kids went to bed holding their orbs. The pictures are pretty dark but you can see the balls glowing.
