Thanksgiving in Vegas

We went to Las Vegas to spend Thanksgiving with my sister and her family. We enjoyed good food, good company and good times!

On Thursday morning, U and Kiley took the oldest three kids skeet shooting (because nothing says "Thanksgiving" like shooting a gun!).

That afternoon, we had a yummy meal. I love Thanksgiving dinner--so much good food and so many pies. Plus I love eating the leftovers!

Cheryl-Lynn and I were able to go to the temple together. It's been a long time since we did that and it was really nice. We also did a bit of shopping.

While we were in Vegas, Miss Elizabeth celebrated her 2nd birthday! It's crazy to think that she's two already. I remember the day she was born really well, as Cheryl-Lynn walked into the room on Thanksgiving morning to inform me that she was in labor. She and Kiley went off to the hospital at the same time I headed off to Kiley's sister's house with 6 kids for Thanksgiving dinner. Fun times! It was fun to celebrate with her and see her excitement.

That evening, we headed off to the strip. We went on the High Roller, which is the world's tallest observation wheel. We had nice views of Vegas.

View from up top. Pretty cool that the fountains at the Bellagio were going. They look a lot littler from the top of the High Roller. Also, you can see the mini Eiffel Tower at the Paris hotel--Megan and Matthew were excited to see it and think that Vegas must be Paris. (It is somewhat of a confusing town, to be sure.)

We walked over to the Bellagio to see the flowers and the fountains. There are always such cool displays!
