Maui Day 5: Church, Hotel Activities, Coastal Drive

Sunday morning, we went down to the beach to enjoy the sunrise.

We had a bit of more of a relaxed day. After breakfast, we went to church. Then we learned basic lauhala weaving by making bookmarks at our hotel. We wandered around the hotel, enjoying the beautiful grounds and displays that they have set up.

We then took a drive down the coast to South Maui. It was really beautiful!

Mmmmmm. Lilikoi.

We went to another activity at the hotel where we made kukui nut bracelets and learned different ways to tie a pareo (wrap around). Here I am modeling a couple of the ways they taught.

We then went to Sea House on Napili Bay for dinner. It was good food and we had great seats--right by the window overlooking the bay. It was a nice way to spend the evening as we watched the sun set.

Salad.

U's sampler plate with filet mignon, shrimp and mahi mahi.

My macadamia nut mahi mahi.

Tiramisu pineapple dessert. Yum!

Lovely view!

After dinner, we walked a bit of the Kapalua Coastal Trail.

Favorite part of the day:
Both: Crafts (lauhala weaving and making bracelets)
