Preschool

We have continued on with preschool. The week Sarah went back to school, we learned about Picasso and Mozart. When I ask the kids what music they want to listen to now, Megan will often request Mozart.

The following week, we studied the letter "k" and talked about kings. We made some paper plate tambourines and sang psalms from King David. We made crowns and castles. Our book for the week was Bartholomew and the Oobleck and so we made oobleck, which the kids loved.

Ooey, gooey!

Is it liquid or solid? It's definitely sticky!

This past week, we studied the letter "f" and talked about fire. We read the story of Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego and the fiery furnace. We did a lot of fire safety things like practicing "Stop, drop and roll" and having a fire drill. We used tissue paper to make flames for a few crafts.

They loved the fire engine snacks we made. (It might have had something to do with the cookies....)

To end the week, we went to the Hall of Flame fire museum in Phoenix. Megan and Matthew both loved that. We now have a membership (and it includes grandparents!), so we will probably take quite a few more trips there.

They liked that there were a bunch of different fire helmets to try on.

Driving the big engine.

Megan enjoyed her little fire engine and pony ride.

To the rescue!
