The Polar Express

Last weekend, we went on the Polar Express. It left from Williams, AZ and, thanks to a special warp tunnel, took us clear to the North Pole. The kids were super excited!  They even got to wear their pjs on the train.

Here we are with a decorated engine. I love the smiley face:)

All of us.

Our tickets to board.

Excited kids!

Mom and dad together in a rare picture:)

Another family picture. This was right after we left the train station.

On the way to the North Pole, we enjoyed cookies made by Mrs. Claus (Matthew's was made by Sprouts) and drank hot chocolate (Matthew and I skipped that). Then they read us the story of the Polar Express. The kids were entranced.

Matthew enjoying his water. They brought it to him in a cup just like the others got so he didn't feel left out which was super nice.

Megan, Sarah and U enjoying their cookies and hot chocolate. They say it was really good hot chocolate.

Matthew loved looking out the window of the train. I think just being on a train ride was his favorite part.

At the North Pole, we looked out the windows to see all the houses and buildings. Then Santa got on the train to greet the girls and boys. He gave each of them a bell from his sleigh. They're pretty nice bells! We also sang Christmas songs.

Santa!

We each got a golden Polar Express ticket as we got off of the train.

We then went to see Mrs. Claus and do some Christmas coloring.

As we were leaving, the Polar Express was getting ready to leave on another trip to the North Pole. Of course the kids wanted to stay and watch it leave so we did. That engine sure is strong to be able to pull all those train cars!

Panoramic of some of the cars on the train.

Definitely a fun experience for all!
