Amazing Jakes

U's work had a family activity at Amazing Jakes.  We went and had an Amazing time. We first ate dinner. That wasn't quite so amazing, especially if you were Matthew or me. Actually, we brought all of Matthew's food from home which was really good since there was basically nothing he could have there. I ate salad, but discovered sour cream(!) on the tongs used to dish it up. I was able to work around it, but wow! Really makes me appreciate Aspen Grove and the fabulous job they did!!!  I think Sarah, Megan and U enjoyed the food a bit more. Besides salad, there was lots of pizza and pasta plus potatoes and soup. They also had a dessert bar and soft drinks. Basically your basic buffet-type offerings.

After dinner, we played! Sarah and U enjoyed laser tag and the mini roller coaster. Sarah went on the Frog Hopper over and over again. I think she probably went on it about 7 times in a row. She also liked the tea cups. Megan and Matthew loved the carousel and train. We also played 18 holes of mini golf. Here are a bunch of pictures.

Megan the first time we went on the carousel. She loved it a lot! She actually cried one time when we had to get off.

Giddy up horsey!

Proud Matthew!

Sarah and U on the mini roller coaster. This was before they made them switch places so U didn't squish Sarah. Sarah had actually wanted to be squished which is why she was on the outside. (Remember, we know physics around here.) They went forward and backward super fast. Sarah loved it!

Arms up on the Frog Hopper (she's on the right).

U takes his swing.

Me.

Sarah played mini golf by hitting the ball once and seeing where it went. Then she'd pick it up and move onto the next hole. This does make the game go faster.

Gotta watch out for Matthew with that club!

Balancing act

Megan, Matthew and I waiting for the carousel. They were so excited and were moving all around the line area and pulling up on the gate.

Matthew on his horse.

The three of us.

Sarah in a tea cup with a friend she made. (It's blurry because they were spinning while the picture was being taken. This won't surprise anyone, but Sarah likes to spin REALLY fast!)

Megan, Matthew and I on the train.
