Halloween

For Halloween, we went as the story of Little Red Riding Hood. My sister found a cute Red outfit for Megan. Matthew was the hunter/woodsman, U was the wolf and I was grandma. Sarah was going to be many different parts of it. First she was going to be the mom. Then she thought she'd like to be a woodland creature--a bunny or deer perhaps. Next, she thought she'd be the forest. Then going as the picnic basket with goodies in it seemed like the thing to do. Finally she decided that Red really needed a mother and so that's who she'd be. However, when it was time to get dressed, she decided to not be any of those and to be a princess instead. Because every good story needs a princess, right?

Little Red Riding Hood (the outfit has a red cape and hood, too)

Matthew loved the ax U made him....a little too much....he tried to eat it. So away it went. He was not happy about that but since we try to minimize how much aluminum foil he eats....

Princess Sarah

The whole gang (you can't see it here, but U has on a tail, too)

  1. What a cute idea! And every fairy tale must have a princess! But the big bad wolf looks awfully friendly--better watch out! I think he's trying to trick you!
