September 2026

September was a busy month especially with band!

Mom picked up 20 cases of water (880 lbs! Yes, it was heavy and hard to push the cart!) and 14 cases of soda for concessions from Costco. Here are a couple of pictures.

We went to the band concerts. The first night was the jazz concerts.
Megan playing her solo.

Jazz Maroon. Mr. Bullock said, "What is really cool about this jazz band is that we have a clarinet." Go Megan! Way to make the band cool!
(I don't actually think that is all he intended to say; however, that is how it came out.)

The next night was the concert band concert.
A glimpse of Matthew.

All of Wind Ensemble.

There were several football games the kids played at.

Playing at half time. Can you spot Megan and Matthew?

Matthew got a haircut.

Megan won Crumbl Cookies (and Matthew won a gift card) as part of an FSY reading challenge over the summer.

Megan shows off a couple of her ceramics creations.

Her coil pot on display at the school. (The black and cream pot pictured above also spent some time on display.)

The band marching to the football game (as seen from the home side concessions stand).

Megan made sourdough bread at one of her YW activities. We cooked it at home and it was delicious! Megan said, "It is like memory foam you can eat!"

Megan showing off her Halloween ceramics mug.

The backside of the mug which looks a little more like Christmas then Halloween. Megan is really enjoying her ceramics class.

Me continues going to visit Sarah and Lionheart. She and Lionheart have had so much fun together! He loves pointing out all the planes and birds and big trucks.
Lionheart loves jumping on his trampoline with his blankets.

Lionheart, Sarah and Champion stayed with us for a night so Champion could go to an early morning meeting in the West Valley. It was a last minute trip and a super busy time for us so we did not have a ton of time together. Me did get to go with Lionheart to the park.

He enjoyed having the sticks go down the slide.

Sticks at the bottom of the slide.

Lionheart was excited to see the trash truck.

Visit to the Science Center

We headed to the Science Center one Saturday. The primary reason was to see the Julia Childs exhibit that was about to leave.

Megan and Me showing off our cooking skills.

Megan and Matthew had never been on the SkyCycle and were excited to ride.

Mom rode as well.

Me really tried to rock the bike.

We explored the CaveScape which is a structure made out of packing tape.

There were some skinny passageways!

We spent a little time wandering the rest of the museum. We also watched an IMAX on caves.

Decibel ratings of different sounds. Sounds above 85+ dB are harmful to hearing. See trombone up there from 106 to 115....

Matthew playing the pipes.

Me and Matthew comparing heartrates. (There's something inside that beats the drum at the rate of your heart. It is not entirely accurate since Me's drum was very erratic!)
