Spring Break 2021: Mesquite

During Spring Break, Me and the kids went to Mesquite, Nevada to visit Grandma and Grandpa O at their new house. We enjoyed spending time with them. We watched Raya and the Last Dragon, played Uno, walked around their neighborhood and spent time relaxing. We went to Valley of Fire. Megan and Matthew enjoyed playing with Legos and the other toys that grandma had.

One thing the kids were really excited about was the pool. Megan and Matthew ran to get in it almost as soon as we arrived. Not even the temperature of the water (around 50º F) deterred them. Their motivation for getting all the way in the first time was the $5 Grandpa said he would give them. Sarah only got in once. However, Megan and Matthew both got in the pool on three of the days we were there. Megan spent the most time underwater. She liked it although she did get cold ("I can't even feel my face!"). Grandma made sure they had warm towels and baths when they got out.

Cheryl-Lynn and her kids came to see us for part of one day. The kids enjoyed seeing their cousins. Liz was there although we apparently didn't get any photos of her.

Grandma made some armor for Matthew to wear as she taught us about putting on the armor of God.

There was one sad time on the trip when Megan thought she had lost her dog Spunky. We looked all over the house and car for her but it seemed she had fallen out when we went to Valley of Fire. However, the next morning, Grandma found her! There was much rejoicing!
