Christmas Break

We had a nice, relaxing break. We volunteered at AZCEND a couple of times, played lots of games, put together lots of puzzles and LEGOs, enjoyed time outside, watched some shows and read some books. 

One not so relaxing thing that happened was that Matthew had an allergic reaction after being exposed to peanuts. He started sneezing and his nose started running almost right away. He said his mouth and throat felt a bit funny too. We gave him Benadryl. When he told us he was feeling nauseous, we called 911 (due to all the different body systems involved) and were going to use the Epi-pen. However, we were told we could wait until help arrived. The firemen checked him out and all his vitals were ok. Phew! We needed to continue to watch him but as long as he did not have worsening symptoms, we didn't need to use the Epi-pen. Thankfully, his symptoms did not get worse. It made for a memorable Christmas Eve.

Internal flat edges meant that the puzzle came apart (and made for an interesting experience putting it together).

Once rearranged, additional puzzle pieces could be added to the puzzle to change the scene. It becomes a bit frightening!
