The zoo reopened last weekend with a special members weekend. They limit the number of people who can go to the zoo each day (reservations required) and encourage social distancing. We enjoyed being out and seeing the animals.
A teenager sighting! Sarah sporting her mask.
The lion was watching us. I think it's missed the people.
The rhino walking around.
Yummy food.
This mandrill was watching Sarah.
Pretty bird.
The wild dogs were quite playful.
The cheetah prowling around its enclosure.
Sarah, Matthew, Megan and Me with the flamingos. We really enjoyed watching them.
The flamingos were doing a lot of stretching. The black on the bottom wing feathers is quite unexpected.
Flamingo posing for us.
Matthew pointed out that the flamingos kneel different than we do (legs forwards instead of backward).
Time for a bath.
What flexible necks they have! If they ever feel cold, they can just put their heads in their feathers.
Another fancy bird.
Zebra
Megan watching some monkeys.
Tiger nap
Komodo dragon
Some pretty flowers.
Rhinoceros hornbill
It looks like green asphalt but you might want to think twice before walking on it since it is actually algae on a pond.
"Where is Matthew?" U couldn't find Matthew.
Nice to get out of the house and have someplace so interesting to go visit.
