Two Visits to the Botanical Garden with Grandma and Grandpa O

While Grandma and Grandpa O were visiting, we took two trips to the Desert Botanical Garden, one during the day and one at night. There is currently a "Wild Rising" exhibit in which colorful sculptures made from recycled plastics are displayed throughout the garden.

Our second visit was in the evening to see the luminaries and hear music. We really enjoyed listening to the brass quintet and the hand bells. The Dueling Pianos played Megan's requested song of "Jingle Bells" as well as a rendition of "I'm My Own Grandpa" (that was exciting as it was the first time Me heard that song from someone other than Grandpa B). We saw some Mexican dancers and musicians as well. Rain had been predicted for the evening and at 8 pm, it started raining! It really was a lovely evening.
