Other Happenings

We have had a busy couple months. Here is a sampling of events from August and September.

Happy Megan! She was actually sick this day and was a good sport accompanying mom to get an oil change.

Matthew earned his Bobcat in Cub Scouts. Our ward puts the rank advancement on the bottom of a pie tin filled with whip cream. The boys use their mouths to find the advancement.

Megan started this journal to Me while she was gone at her grandpa's funeral. It does a good job capturing her thoughts the morning Me left. (Note: Megan was up before Me left at 4:30 am for the airport.)

Megan and Matthew learned about Arizona and each designed a seal. Both seals have the 5 Cs of Arizona represented on them: cotton, cattle, copper, citrus and climate.

Megan's feet are almost as large as Me's.

She's feeling good about that.

Matthew's still have a bit of growing to do.

We went on a bike ride to a local park one Saturday morning.

Sarah has had a lot of swim lately. She's enjoying it and is becoming a better swimmer. Here her team is before their first swim meet.

Working on Faith in God

We had a family lesson on standing firm in the faith which turned into a big wrestling match. It was basically a free for all and was a lot of fun. Here are a few pictures.

Sarah really likes mashed potatoes and stuck a large serving spoonful in her mouth. (As a side note, Sarah has a large mouth.)

Megan and Matthew are playing a lot of Pokemon. Megan drew the following cards to share with her friends. She gave them names, abilities and even drew a card back for each.

Funny story: Our friends were kind enough to lend us one of their cars while our van was getting fixed. The key fob had an "arm" and a "disarm" button. Matthew went to the check the car out and see what kind of weapons were on the car.

As a side note to that story, Megan and Matthew both really liked riding in the other car which was called Darth Vader. Matthew prayed that our van would take longer to fix so we could drive Darth Vader longer. He got his wish!
