Recent Elementary Happenings

There's been a lot going on at Megan and Matthew's elementary school lately. They had a patriotic celebration where all the 2nd graders sang about the ABCs of America. A favorite song was "The Fifty Nifty United States." Me thought it was great they learned this song as she learned it in elementary school (and has known the states in alphabetical order ever since!).

During this song, most of the kids were supposed to be making annoyed faces at the kids who were playing instruments. I had several people, including the music teacher, tell me what a great job Megan did.

Singing.

Making an "A" (part of USA) at the end of "The Fifty Nifty United States."

Next up was field day. This year, they started with Zumba in the Multi-Purpose Room before heading outside for some fun.

Megan, Yuvraj and Jacob joined in the fun.

Megan and Me went to the school's annual Spring Fling. Megan enjoyed playing games, bouncing in the bouncers and riding the carousel while mom helped out at the class booths.

They dressed up for Pioneer Day. Matthew was a miner and Megan was a pioneer girl. They decorated Matthew's backpack for the occasion. They enjoyed singing songs and eating s'mores at school.
