U had a birthday! It was mostly a normal day, with him being a responsible adult and going to work to earn money to support the family. He and I did go out for lunch which was nice. In the evening, we went to Zoolights.
U's birthday was the last day of school. Since Matthew's birthday was over break, Matthew came home wearing this hat.
U thought that since it was actually his birthday, he should be the one wearing the hat. He added a post it note with " 's Dad" on it so it said "Happy Birthday Matthew's Dad" and put on the hat.

U wasn't the only one excited about all those Legos. The next morning, Matthew sent the following text to U. (Note that my iPod doesn't have caps lock so Matthew capitalized each letter individually.)
We grabbed a bite to eat and then headed up to Zoolights. We enjoyed seeing all the lights. One of my favorite areas was where they had a bunch of butterflies and bees flying around. There was also a Lego sculpture of a butterfly on a flower which added to the ambiance.
